About

This craftsman style house located in the mid-west was built in 1924  by a prominent business man as a country house.  At that time it had a three car garage, a private electric and water system, and two bathrooms.  Unfortunately the  owner died unexpectedly in 1929.  What happened after 1929 is unclear until around 1970 when the home was renovated.  In the mid 1990’s it became a wrestling camp.   Eventually it  fell into disrepair, the siding torn off by vandals and it’s porches collapsing.  Another renovation took place beginning in approximately 2002.  The siding and porches were repaired along with some interior restoration.  In June 2015 we purchased the house.  It has seven acres, two barns, and a beautiful view.  This is the story of our renovation.
